The Women’s Refuge Resale Shop is looking for faith filled volunteers who are dedicated to supporting our mission. All proceeds from our Resale Shop benefit our 501c3 program, The Women's Refuge of Vero Beach. The funds raised are instrumental in providing affordable access to biblical counseling for women, men, and families. In addition to that, they help support a variety of support groups, and our live-in program that has been transforming the lives of women since 1997!

Volunteer Attributes:

● Has a mature and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
● Professional and at ease in a retail environment.
● Proven ability to maintain confidentiality regarding ministry information.
● Committed to collaborative projects with a number of staff.
● Has an exemplary personal life as expressed within her family, marriage (if married), friends, church and community.

Social Media Volunteer: 5-10 hrs per week.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning and implementing social media strategies in collaboration with our PR/Development office.
  • Being knowledgeable on social media best practices, and staying up-to-date on what's trending.
  • Building our online presence and engagement with quality content.
  • Reviewing performance and analytics, and discovering ways to improve our approach.
  • Provide social media performance reports showing increased engagement & growth.

Ideal for students considering a career in media/advertising and need volunteer hours this summer!

Art Research/Pricing Volunteer: Hours needed TBD

The Women’s Refuge Resale Shop is looking for detail-oriented individuals with a good eye to assist in evaluating and pricing original artwork and prints. This role involves researching comparable items online, learning about artists, techniques, and current market trends to help us assign fair and competitive prices to donated art. A passion for art history, design, or collecting is a plus!

Ideal for retired art enthusiasts who appreciate unique and/or rare finds!

Online Sales Volunteer:

Computer skills, research, photography.

Fashion Design/Clothing and Accessories Volunteer:

Research, pricing & merchandising.

Jewelry Volunteer:

Sorting and making the distinction between real and costume.

Processing Volunteer:

Physically fit to sort through donations/bags & boxes.

Antiques & Vintage Items:

Researching & Pricing.

Cleaning Volunteer:

Items, displays etc.

Visual Merchandising Volunteer:

Display/arranging, etc.

Furniture Volunteer:

Assistance with pick ups and deliveries.

Search
