Live-In Program

We offer our live-in program to women 18 and older who desire to live and walk in freedom and victory. We believe that true freedom and victory are only available to a life surrendered and committed to a personal walk–a life journey–with God. This walk is established at the Refuge by a daily regimen of personal and group study, work, and counseling.

Residents are expected to spend at least four hours of their day engaged in a constructive pattern of activity which may include volunteering at the Women’s Refuge, working at a job, or going to school. Our Resale Shop is often an available source for volunteer hours.

The Refuge provides sanctuary in a home-like environment with two-week to two-year programs. Trained Christian counselors use biblical solutions to help women develop long-term goals and heal from spiritual and emotional wounds This program welcomes women who are serious about wanting to change their ineffective life patterns so that they can become contributing members of their family, churches, and society. When women seek further accountability and training, we have a Transition House where they may stay while they work in the community.

Who Comes to the Live-In Program?

Frequently Asked Questions

Are we an addictions program?

No. We have women come to the Refuge from all different walks of life. We look at core issues and beliefs that go beyond any particular circumstance. Some women who come may be in recovery, while many others may never have used substances before. If a woman is in recovery, she may qualify to enter our residential program after she has dealt with the addiction elsewhere. We are able to work with her on her spiritual and emotional health.

How long must I be clean from addiction to enter this program?
