Through
this Christian discipleship program the resident will learn how
to apply biblical principles to the broken areas of her life
while establishing support within her local church, family,
and community. Whether a woman stays two weeks or two years
the objectives are met when:
1. The staff and resident concur that
healthy change has occurred
2. Responsibilities are accepted for
her own behavior
3. Realization of God’s love
and grace given to her
4. Established goals are reached
Program purposes.

Initiate trust between the resident and staff

Identification of problems, weaknesses, and strengths

Reshaping and retooling of the individual’s will by
offering the alternative of God’s will as stated in
the Bible

Renewal of the mind with truth and acceptance
-
Emotional healing through experiencing submission to God
and finding success in everyday life
- Send resident back to her own environment better equipped to handle life`s challenges
- In cases where resident comes for leadership training, mutual goals for acquisition of knowledge are met.
Mission Statement.
The mission of the Refuge is to provide a Christian program
where hurting women can find healing through biblical counseling.
Each woman is offered an opportunity to be victorious through
Christ’s life. Statement
of Faith.
We believe that the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments in their original, texts are fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, without error, and are the final authority for the church.
We believe
that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe
in the absolute deity and full humanity of our Lord Jesus
Christ.
We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, the authenticity of His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, and His present mediatory work in heaven.
We believe
in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit. He gives
life, He sanctifies, He empowers, and He comforts all believers.
We believe
than man was originally created sinless. Tempted by Satan,
man fell and thereby brought the whole race under the condemnation
of eternal separation from God.
We believe
that man is saved through the finished work of Christ. Justification
is through grace alone.
We believe
that the Body of Jesus Christ is composed of all true believers
and is referred to in the Scriptures as “the Church.”
The present work of the Church is the worship of God, the
perfecting of the saints, and the evangelization of the world.
We believe
in the personal and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ
to consummate our salvation and establish His glorious Kingdom.
